Berryhill Foods Inc. is a leading food manufacturing and distribution company committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team part-time and support our growing operations.

**Job Summary**:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Berryhill Foods Inc., you will play a key role in managing the company’s accounts payable processes on a part-time basis. You will assist with invoicing, vendor payments, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**-**Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests for accuracy and authorization.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements within the part-time schedule.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions, including tracking expenses and maintaining ledgers.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or payment issues as needed.
- Maintain organized records of accounts payable documentation for audits and reporting.
- Perform other administrative and clerical tasks related to accounts payable as required within the allotted hours.

**Qualifications and Skills**:
**-**High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (e.g., courses accredited by the Certified General Accountants of Canada or Canadian Bookkeepers Association) is an asset.
- 1-2 years of clerical or accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (experience with Sage is an advantage but not required).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle tasks efficiently within a reduced schedule.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for vendor and internal collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with sales tax reporting and financial compliance is an advantage.

**Additional Requirements**:

- On-the-job training will be provided for the use of Sage X3 accounting software.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
**-**Competitive hourly wage of $23.00 - $25.00, based on experience and qualifications.
- Part-time position with a flexible schedule totaling 16 hours per week, Monday toFriday.
