Fleur De Lys Bakery is a new French-style artisan bakery opening in August 2025 in Vaughan. We specialize in laminated doughs (croissants, Danishes, kouign-amann etc.), tarts, and handcrafted seasonal pastries — all made from scratch using traditional techniques.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Pastry Cook / Baker to join our small, passionate team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with the business from day one and help shape our production style, quality, and consistency.
**Duties**:
- Prepare and bake laminated doughs, tarts, and artisan pastries from scratch
- Assist with mise en place, mixing, shaping, baking, filling, glazing, and finishing
- Follow production schedules and maintain consistent quality and timing
- Collaborate with the team during recipe testing and menu development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
- Participate in setup and optimization of production flow during opening phase
**Experience**:
- Formal pastry training or 1+ year of hands-on experience in a bakery/pastry setting preferred
- Experience or interest in laminated doughs (croissants, Danish) is a strong asset
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Able to work early mornings (5:30-6:00 AM start), weekends as needed
- Attention to detail, team spirit, and good communication are essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
