We are looking for an **Intermediate Procurement Professional** to join our team in** Burnaby, BC**. This position is responsible for procurement transactions associated with subcontracting of services. The incumbent has working knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion. The incumbent understands the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures. **Responsibilities include**: - Subcontracting assignments typically will consist of design and supply of complex equipment, professional or technical services, and major construction services, or may be assigned as the lead for all subcontracting on a small project. - Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools. - Advises to stakeholders how to create requisitions and helps them in understanding the overall Procurement process. - Administers Procurement and Construction Agreements and change orders (modifications). - Reviews invoices related to subcontracts and ensures that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the agreement. - Evaluates facts surrounding purchase subcontract-related problem areas and applies remedies to resolve it. - Maintains procurement and subcontracting documentation in a repository. - Identife and advise management of subcontract-related risks. - Prepare bidder lists, qualify bidders, prepare requests for quotation/proposal, and conduct bid evaluations. - Recommend source selections and lead purchase order negotiations. - Ensure applicable prime contract flow-downs are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts. - Assist in the preparation of proposal deliverables, including pricing of subcontracted services, execution approach narratives, and labor hour estimates for subcontracting. - Works under moderate to mínimal supervision. No direct reports. Supervises the work of procurement support personnel who assist with the purchasing activities. - Coordinates with project or departmental personnel in performance of the subcontracting activities. - You’ll be working mainly from home (unless you prefer coming into the office), with the expectation to travel for client /site meetings and occasional team meetings._ **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Substantial years of directly applicable experience and strong knowledge of procurement and subcontracting processes - Post Secondary education (bachelors certificate) in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain - Project Management Certification is a bonus - Strong working knowledge of company risk policies and procedures - Sound decision and problem-solving skills - Comprehensive ability to attend to department priorities to address resource and operational challenges for an assigned region - Ability to interact and work closely with engineering, project management, construction and clients - Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with fellow team members - Innovative and solutions-oriented thinker LI-Hybrid bia - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
