**About FNTI (First Nations Technical Institute)**

Since its establishment in 1985, First Nations Technical Institute (FNTI) has proudly graduated over 4,000 students with certificates, diplomas, and degrees through partnerships with Ontario’s Colleges and Universities. As an Indigenous post-secondary institution, FNTI serves Indigenous learners with programs in diverse fields such as aviation, health, business, and public administration. FNTI delivers programming from its main campus in Tyendinaga on the scenic Bay of Quinte, as well as across multiple communities throughout Ontario.

**Job Statement**:
The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of hybrid teaching models that blend face-to-face and virtual learning environments. They will implement effective academic frameworks and exhibit a learner-centered approach in all facets of their role. A key part of the position will involve ensuring that program offerings meet the rigorous standards of accrediting bodies and align with the needs of Indigenous midwifery organizations in Ontario.

The Program Manager will play a central role in the accreditation process, working closely with the Dean and liaising with various accrediting bodies to maintain program standards. They will be responsible for recruiting faculty, scheduling program delivery, and collaborating with Cultural Advisors, Student Success Facilitators, and other stakeholders. Through these efforts, the Program Manager will support the development of programs grounded in Indigenous Knowledges.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:
Program Development and Quality Assurance
- Lead program development by contributing expertise on course design, curriculum content, teaching strategies, assessment methods, and instructional innovations.
- Work with the Dean and liaise with accrediting bodies to ensure that program deliverables meet Indigenous Advanced Education Skills Council (IAESC) accreditation standards and any other regulatory requirements.
- Stay informed on evolving regulations affecting course and program offerings; advise the Dean on their implications.
- Contribute to strategic enrollment management efforts to sustain active programs.
- Conduct ongoing program reviews and implement any necessary revisions to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate pathways and progression within FNTI programs.
- Ensure the integration of appropriate learning technologies in hybrid course designs.
- Oversee curriculum consultations and lead annual curriculum review activities, aligning instructional and assessment strategies with Indigenous Knowledge and pedagogies.
- Participate in the development and implementation of FNTI policies related to teaching, learning, and program administration.
- Work closely with a Teaching Team that includes Faculty, Cultural Advisors, Student Success Facilitators, and Experiential Learning staff to foster research-informed, evidence-based teaching and learning.

Leadership
- Contribute to resource planning for learner supports, staffing, financial needs, facilities, and instructional resources.
- Participate as an active member of FNTI’s management team, including attending weekly meetings and providing leadership across the organization.

Administration
- Support the program team and stakeholders, including Program Advisors, Faculty, curriculum writers, and Program Advisory Circle members.
- Lead program team meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide input into FNTI’s planning cycles, including budgets, instructional resources, and graduation processes.
- Prepare materials for program development, accreditation, and budgeting.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring of program staff and faculty.
- Coordinate the development and review of program policies to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Prepare schedules to align organizational resources with program delivery needs, including workload planning for Faculty and Cultural Advisors.
- Support curriculum development incorporating Indigenous Knowledge.
- Monitor curriculum hours to ensure learning outcomes are met and oversee annual self-audit reports for quality assurance.
- Collaborate on the creation and implementation of a regular feedback proces to drive program improvement and align with FNTI’s strategic goals.

Coordination
- Identify, vet and recommend PAC members (to the VPA) and coordinate Program Advisory Circle activities, including meetings and stakeholder feedback.
- Provide support for curriculum developers, instructors, and experiential learning staff.
- Collaborate with the Enrollment Management and Student Success team to identify students at risk and facilitate case management.
- Advise and refer students to appropriate supports.
