**Salary Range**:$45,184 to $56,478 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

**Work Mode**:On-site

**Location**:10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

**Hours of work**:35 hours per week

Are you a highly motivated details oriented **administrative professional** who is passionate about **Finance**?

Reporting to the Supervisor of Corporate Reporting and Receivables, in this position you will be expected to offer accounting support by verifying payments against invoices for accuracy, assisting with cheque distribution, and providing backup for invoicing and other accounting duties. Ensure compliance with Regional policies and proper authorization for all transactions.

**What you will do in this role**:

- Audit payments against invoices for accuracy.
- Handle weekly cheque runs and distribute cheques per instructions.
- Record and follow up on cheques for deposit.
- Prepare journal entries on time.
- Communicate with clients, peers, and management on payment issues.
- Manage office supply inventory and order supplies.
- Provide backup for accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and statements.
- Perform other assigned duties.

**What the role requires**:

- High school diploma required. College diploma in accounting or business is considered an asset
- At least one year of accounting or equivalent administrative office experience.

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Detail oriented combined with excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Effective team player
- Knowledge of the PeopleSoft Software would be an asset
