**Job Title**: HR Consultant (Independent Contractor)

**Location**: Remote with occasional on-campus visits (Toronto, ON)

**Contract Hours**: Flexible, averaging 20-25 hours per week (hours may vary based on project needs)

**Compensation**: $60-$80 per hour, based on experience

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead HR projects as assigned by the CEO, including recruiting, offboarding, and compliance-related initiatives.
- Provide expert advice on HR policies, employment standards, and workplace safety.
- Develop and implement effective offboarding processes to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience.
- Offer legal HR guidance, ensuring adherence to Ontario’s ESA, OHSA, and other employment regulations.
- Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and procedures to align with best practices and organizational needs.
- Maintain organized and confidential HR records and documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of HR-related experience.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) credential is required.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to work independently and adapt to flexible hours and changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in using HR software and remote collaboration tools.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in the education or private career college sector is an asset.
- Familiarity with managing projects in a contractor capacity.

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexible hours with no fixed weekly schedule; work hours will vary based on project needs.
- Primarily remote, with occasional in-person visits to the Toronto campus as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $60.00-$80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
