**About the job**:
The Front Office Receptionist is the first contact our patients have with our office; therefore, this position requires an A1 personality with excellent customer service skills.

We are looking for the right person to join our Front of Office staff and undertake the following duties:

- Managing the front desk, greeting visitors and patients and addressing their needs
- Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and follow-up calls
- Documenting, recording and updating patient information and medical records
- Billing patients and collecting money, working with insurance companies and suppliers
- Sending out information, materials or documentation, editing/typing outgoing letters
- Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms, sterilizing the instruments, and preparing the equipment required for specific treatments (Training will be provided)
- Assisting in inventory control, restocking, and ordering products and supplies.
- Assisting in products sales
- Training new personnel in the future
- Maintaining the office daily
- Closing the office at the end of the shift

The employee will adhere to all of the written policies of our clinic, and we will evaluate their work via regular performance reviews. The employee makes no independent policy, staffing or expenditure decisions. The employee is expected to uphold a professional, pleasant and caring personality/attitude with all patients and work together with other staff members as a valuable team player. The position will be a job share, although specific duties will be assigned to individuals.

**Work Environment**:

- Communication: Requires face-to-face discussions with patients/visitors, team members, insurance companies, other medical offices, vendors, etc.
- Conflict: Includes situations that involve dealing with unpleasant, angry, dissatisfied or discourteous people, both in person or on the phone.
- Job hazards: The office is a medical practice and includes exposure to medical conditions, infection, sharp objects, treatment instruments etc.
- The role: Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the clinic.
- Level of Challenge: Requires repeating the same physical and mental activities repeatedly. Requires being exact and highly accurate, learning fast, and following the instructions accordingly. Multitasking is essential.
- Work Setting: Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Job tasks are occasionally performed in close physical proximity to patients.
**Work Schedule**:

- Fixed days Monday-Friday.
- Able to work at least 2 evenings. Due to our dedication to the clinic and our patients, the employee may be expected to stay beyond their regular work hours (Tuesdays and Wednesdays until 6:00 - 6:30 PM) each week. Compensation will be provided for overtime work.
- There will be regular staff meetings.
**We will provide On-the-job training.**

**One hour paid lunchtime each day.**

Full-time hours: 40-42 per week.

**Salary**: $16.50-$17.50 per hour
