**Position Overview**: *

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Coordinating Field Technician appointments with customers and ensuring scheduling is done accurately, taking into consideration the right equipment and inventory for the job
- Scheduling Field Technicians for the full of amount of hours or as close to as possible to ensure effective use of time and resources
- Ensuring that all communications referred by our Inside Sales and Customer Care teams are dealt with in a timely manner resulting in either new appointments or rescheduling of appointments
- Collaborating with the Control Centre and Channel Support teams regarding scheduling processes and new initiatives
- Identifying scheduling challenges and working with department managers to find solutions
- Maintaining records for Field Technician availability
- Implementing scheduling procedures as requested by the Field Service Supervisor and Manager, Control Centre
- Working closely with other frontline managers to address quality of service issues
- Taking or making customer calls in order to schedule or reschedule appointments for new installations or service work
- Assigning work orders and/or optimizing routing to ensure efficient completion of service work
- Maintaining system records with up to date information that will be utilized by other customer-facing teams at Xplornet Communications Inc. managing arrangements for out of town travel that may be required by Field Technicians
- Bilingualism is required (French/English)
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field, combined with 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience in a customer-focused environment
- Demonstrated experience working with workforce and resource levelling
- Advanced interpersonal, verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of working standards of Health and Safety, construction and CSA
- Professionalism and tact in representing the company to our customers
- Independent and prudent judgement
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to maintain the agreed upon schedules
- Excellent time management skills with attention to detail
- A working knowledge of MS Office (superficially, MS Project, Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
