Hamilton Village Care Centre is a modern long term care home, purpose-built for 135 seniors and conveniently located in East Richmond and only a short 5 minute drive from the Alex Fraser Bridge when commuting from Delta or Surrey. We are seeking a full-time (Tuesday-Saturday) rehab/recreation assistant to passionately contribute to the delivery of quality of life programs to Residents by focusing on creating joy through connections, engagement and feeling valued. As a rehab/recreation aide you embrace the Resident’s physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs & interests along with the principles of Person and Family Centered Care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of recreation programs including a minimum of one year recreation experience in Long Term Care and/or comparable roles;
- Demonstrate knowledge of rehabilitation programs including a minimum of one year rehabilitation assistant experience in Long Term Care and/or comparable roles;
- At least one year of recent relevant experience working with individuals with dementia;
- Completed a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program;
- Basic computer skills (including MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word) Additional certifications include First aid CPR C,‘Serving it right' and Food Safe Level 1;
- GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approach) training is an asset.

**Positions available**:
**1 Full-time (Tuesday-Saturday)**

Wage rate: $27.00*/hr

**Wage rate per Government wage levelling.**

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $27.00 per hour
