**Marketing Assistant (Volunteer)** Latincouver Cultural & Business Society - Vancouver, BC **(volunteer/ unpaid position)** Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 14 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia. **Duties and Responsibilities**: - The main duty is coordinate promotional activities of Carnaval del Sol - Assist in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies for Latincouver platforms and programs - Conduct market research - Execute the company’s long-term marketing strategy - Oversee launch-related initiatives and communications - Assist in developing a digital marketing plan - Assist with social media content - Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success - Create newsletters, content for social media **Requirements and skills**: - 1 year of experience in Marketing - Exceptional English skills - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Proactive and positive attitude with high levels of energy - Knowledge of Latin American culture (*_Spanish or Portuguese are an asset_) **Schedule availability**: - Mon to Fri 2 to 3hs per day between 9am to 5pm > 4 days at the office and 1 home office - 3 times per week 4 to 5hs per day > From the office **What you get from us**: - Reference letter upon completion of 3 months of volunteering - Expand your professional contacts through Latincouver’s rich network - Being part of a fun, professional and multicultural team - Upgrading your resume with experience in a Canadian organization - Learning new skills and an opportunity to practice other languages **Latincouver Cultural & Business Society values diversity and inclusion and encourages all qualified people to apply.** **Job Types**: Part-time, Casual Part-time hours: 20 per week **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Flexible schedule - Work from home Schedule: - Monday to Friday COVID-19 considerations: We require all employees to be fully vaccinated before working in the office. **Experience**: - Marketing: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC
