Help bring research to life and drive your career forward with the NRC, Canada's largest research and technology organization.

We are looking for an Assessment Services Officer to support our Construction Research Centre. The incumbent would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

CCMC clients are manufacturers of innovative building products who benefit from accelerated and expanded access to the construction market.

The incumbent will work with a team of Evaluation Officers and technical experts who establish appropriate evaluation criteria, and assess standards, test results and engineering analyses in relation to an innovative product’s compliance with the Canadian codes.

The incumbent will maintain CCMC publications through editing and updating technical content as directed by the Assessment Services Group (ASG) Team Lead or CCMC Evaluation Officers. The incumbent will also provide client-facing support by responding to general requests for information on the CCMC’s processes, fees and expected timelines, with guidance from the ASG team lead. The position does not have any direct reports, but will provide functional support regarding technical issues to CCMC administration staff, students and a TO2 Assessment Services Coordinator.

The incumbent will operate both as a team member and independently, consulting with staff in various fields related to construction products and systems, and interacting with numerous industry clients as well as with colleagues at the NRC.
