Manulife Insurance Canada is embarking on a strategic mission to improve the access & service of our products across the Canadian market. Our bold ambition is to become the undisputed insurance leader and we need your talent to help make this a reality.

In this exciting role you’ll have an opportunity to operate from a unique vantage point within the insurance business. You’ll frequently engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Product Owners with whom you will develop tactics & execution plans, and executives to whom you will present and evaluate portfolio health and strategic alignment. As the Strategy & Portfolio Lead, you’ll be exposed to our entire business and act as a key leader through the enablement and ultimate execution of our strategic portfolio.

**What you’ll do**
- Ensure the strategic alignment of portfolio deliverables to the business’s Objectives & Key Results
- Champion quarterly roadmap development, facilitating reviews and updates with key stakeholders across the business
- Enable Insurance’s strategy by supporting the development of business objectives throughout the planning cycle
- Perform regular execution readiness reviews across Insurance portfolio
- Contribute to a best-in-class reporting and analytics model that supports the business strategy and portfolio execution
- Lead special projects as required to form recommendations for a future ready business

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Advanced degree in Business or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in portfolio management or corporate development working for a multinational company, Canadian Banking, Insurance, or strategy consulting firm
- Excellent business and financial acumen and understanding of the strategy function
- Ability to think broadly, across the business and market
- Demonstrated executive-ready presentation and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and data-driven analytical ability (including quantitative and financial analysis)
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate working at all levels

The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Waterloo, Ontario is expected to be between $77,250.00 CAD - $139,050.00 CAD.
