As a key member of the Production Control team, and under the direction of the Production Control Assistant Manager, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible to ensure transportation and deliveries meet customer demand with little to no delay, and to manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to ensure established deadlines are met.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the shipping of products utilizing EDI, SAP, MRP systems and customer portals, as required
- Assist with receiving products and coordinating deliveries
- Assisting the preparation of loads for shipment
- Take steps to avoid quality control issues
- Manage activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
- Continually review freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the process of raw materials to keep costs down, where possible
- Prepare and manage clear and concise SOP’s that will guide PC team members in their day-to-day operations and provide clear guidance to team members
- Work closely with Material Handlers and Logistics Coordinators to understand business processes
- Lead and manage Logistics Coordinators
- Carry out Company practice/policy in the areas of work expectation, discipline, training and personnel administration
- Responsible for delivering objectives related to safety, cleanliness, quality, cost and productivity
- Encourage a positive working relationship with PC employees and Leadership including fair and equal administration of the contract
- Facilitate internal team meetings
- Calculate daily labour hour requirements to ensure proper utilization of manpower (including any overtime and vacation)
- Coach safety, quality and productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Create a conducive work environment for employees to complete their assigned responsibilities/task
- Support continuous improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
- Build employee capability, communication and recognition
- Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility
- Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the delivery of product to customers
- Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover logistics responsibilities
- Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross functional communication
- Effectively implement the engineering change process
- Identify data gaps and take corrective actions
- Other Production Control duties as required
- Material Handler interaction and communication
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- 1-2 years’ experience in a related field within an automotive manufacturing environment or equivalent testing and/or demonstrated work experience
- Previous experience creating SOP’s
- Strong writing and editing skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and initiatives
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Understanding and experience with deliveries and shipments within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of international standards (IATF, ISO etc.) and client audits is required
- Ability to identify development needs of employees and provide coaching and mentoring
- Strong morals and ethics, along with commitment to staff privacy
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
- Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
