**TRAFFIC CONTROL PERSONS** - _Nanaimo, BC_ **On-Call / Casual for day time work based on project needs**
**Potential for Long-Term or Full-Time Opportunities**

**Budget Traffic**, a division of **Glen Traffic Solutions Inc.**, is looking for **safety-focused, reliable, and experienced TCPs** to join our growing team in **Nanaimo**

This role starts as **on-call/casual for daytime work,**this can lead to a **clear path to more consistent, long-term, or full-time work** as our project needs grow.

**What is expected from you**
- Directing traffic, pedestrians & workers safely through active work zones
- Setting up and removing traffic control signage and lane closures
- Completing daily barricade and work zone safety reports
- Supporting crews and keeping job sites safe and compliant

**Qualifications**
- Valid **BCCSA TCP Ticket (required)**:

- Minimum **8months of experience** with a flagging company.
- **Class 5 Driver’s License**:

- **Reliable transportation** to and from sites
- Solid understanding of construction site safety
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with paving techniques and construction practices is an asset.
- Comfortable working **outdoors in all weather conditions**:

- Must be physically fit to stand for long periods, walk considerable distances, and perform manual tasks as required.

**Pay Rates**:

- **Traffic Control Person (TCP)**: $20-$25/hr
- Rates include 9.2% vacation/stat pay + union benefits_

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
