**Traffic Control Person (TCP) - On-Call / Part-Time**

**Location**: Nanaimo, BC
**Pay**: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (incl. 9.2% vacation + statutory pay)
**Type**: Casual / Part-Time (~80 hrs/month, potential to grow into full-time)

**Position Overview**

We are currently seeking a **Traffic Control Person (TCP)** to join our Nanaimo-based team. This is an **on-call/part-time role** that offers (approx. 80 hours/month) with the possibility to become full-time.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Direct traffic, pedestrians, and construction crews around work zones
- Set up and maintain traffic control signage, cones, and barricades
- Complete daily barricade reports and follow safety protocols
- Assist vehicles and equipment entering/exiting job sites
- Monitor work zones and alert crews to potential hazards
- Interpret and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
- Support and train other workers in traffic and safety procedures
- Perform other related duties as required

**Requirements**:

- **BCCSA TCP Certification** (required)
- **Minimum 2 years of flagging experience** (required)
- **Paving experience** (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of construction sites and flagging protocols
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Personal transportation to commute to job sites
- Must reside in **Nanaimo or surrounding areas**:

- Willingness to travel up to **75%** of the time (preferred)
