**Job Role**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Community Manager is responsible for operational leadership of Diamond Spring Lodge, a 51 room seniors’ supportive living and Type B Continuing Care and Golden Villa Apartments, a 12 suite seniors subsidized apartment community.

**Responsibilities**
- Provides leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of assigned supportive living and apartment community.
- Attracting, developing, and engaging a team of housekeeping, food services, maintenance, and administrative professionals.
- Ensuring occupancy, financial targets, and Continuing Care standards compliance metrics are met.
- Actively markets the community, identifying marketing opportunities and contacting key stakeholders.
- Builds strong relationships with resident families, community stakeholders, and Alberta Health Services.
- Partners with Human Resources to manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workplace health and safety, staff development, performance management, and corrective action.
- Partners with Finance to prepare and manage operating and capital budgets.
- Fosters Homeland Housing’s mission, vision, and values.

**Education, Training, and Experience**
- Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in human services, gerontology, licensed practical nurse, or business administration preferred. However, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working in a supportive living, hotel/hospitality, community service, and not-for-profit organization is an asset.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Intermediate skills/knowledge of Office 365.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- A high level of intellectual curiosity. Demonstrates strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct operations of assigned sites.
- Strong conflict resolution and team-building skills.
- Demonstrates empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- 75 hours bi-weekly; 7.5-hour shift, Monday to Friday with the ability to take part in ‘on call’ rotation
- Wage rate as per Homeland Housing management wage scale
