**About the Role**

The HR Generalist is responsible for a range of duties ensuring the HR department delivers best practices to support the business across Canada, the U.S., and other international sites.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to employee relations, disability management, ADP administration, maintenance of training programs, general day-to-day employee assistance and a variety of projects.

You will build strong relationships with our multiple locations and internal departments.

This position is full time and offers a hybrid work model, three days in office and two work-from-home days. During the summer months we have half day Fridays

**Qualifications**
- Developing and implementing new employee policies and standards and ensuring that these are compliant with HR best practices;
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence;
- Assist with employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary action, and terminations;
- Disability management and return to work programs for all non-occupational injuries or illnesses;
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance;
- Manage and deliver training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge and promote career growth;
- Enter and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee information, including new hires, salary changes, benefit changes, and other relevant employment updates, into the HRIS systems;
- Assist with the management of a performance appraisal process that aligns with business needs and drives high performance.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5-7 years progressive Human Resources experience as a Generalist;
- Exposure and support to working with management client groups will be considered an asset;
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources is required;
- CHRP or CHRL designation is strongly preferred;
- Experience using ADP is an asset;
- Prior experience in an industrial setting is an asset;
- Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred but not necessary;
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality;
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
