**The Role: Payroll Clerk**
As the Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible to partner with our Payroll Administrator to deliver a high-quality customer service experience to our employees. You will support the collection, processing and verification of payroll and timesheet data. This is a unique opportunity for you to support the growth of a purpose-driven organization in its mission to advance a sustainable future.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- You have 2+ years’ experience supporting full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees in Canada.
- You have experience using MS Excel in an intermediate capacity (formulas, filter, VLOOKUP, pivot table) to provide detailed reporting & analytics.
- You have excellent organizational and time management skills.
- You have strong communication and customer service skills
- You are able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You are highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to problem solve.
**Bonus Skills and Qualifications**
- You are a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), or working towards being one.
**What Success looks like in this role**
- You will provide support to the Payroll Administrator processing semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried payroll for Canadian and US employees.
- You will onboard employees into payroll including verifying new hire documentation for accuracy and completeness and providing relevant assistance to employees as required.
- You will verify and reconcile all employee submitted timesheets for accuracy and completeness and follow up as required.
- You will prepare and process reconciliations for benefit premiums, payroll deductions and taxable benefits.
- You will provide support to the Payroll Administrator as required to provide excellent customer support to employees.
- You will stay updated on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws, and ensure compliance in payroll processing.
