Simcoe, Canada Schuyler Farms Limited Full time

**Humble**- Employees that are team players and are respectful of others and the job at hand. Great team players lack excessive ego or concerns about status. Humble employees are quick to point out contributions of others and slow to seek attention of their own.
**Driven** - Employees who are motivated and focused on self improvement. Driven or hungry employees are always looking for more. More things to do, learn, and take responsibility for. They never have to be pushed by a manager to work harder because they are self-motivated and diligent.

**Solutions Oriented** - Employees who focus on solving, and preventing problems from occurring, not just identifying them. This is equal parts of problems with systems and processes and the common sense that an employee has about people. They are aware, act appropriately, ask good questions, and listen to understand.

**Role and Accountability**:

- Set the overall vision, strategy, and priorities for training, documentation, and health and safety programs.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Training Facilitator, assigning research tasks, reviewing recommendations, and approving final training content before delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the review cycle and version control for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Own safety compliance, including WSIB reporting, safety incident investigations, corrective action plans, and regulatory adherence.
- Lead risk assessments and analyze safety data to influence change and enhance safety programs proactively.
- Approve training content, materials, and resource allocation including budgeting for training initiatives.
- Track and report on training effectiveness, safety metrics, and compliance, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support the development of the Training Facilitator as part of succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with department leaders to understand needs, drive alignment, and escalate safety and training issues as needed.
- Manage stakeholder relationships related to training, documentation, and safety.
- Provide coaching and feedback to foster a culture of safety, compliance, and employee development.
- Facilitate communication of updates, procedural changes, and training initiatives across departments.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts for training and safety functions to align with organizational goals and regulatory changes.
- Attend relevant department and company-wide meetings, including Level 10 meetings, contributing to organizational alignment and effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address challenges, develop solutions, and align strategies with company goals.
- Utilize Microsoft To-Do (or similar) for task tracking and reminders, ensuring productivity and accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strategic thinker with strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and training program development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficient in SOP lifecycle management and document control.
- Excellent analytical skills for safety data and training effectiveness.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- 5+ years in training, safety management, or related roles with strategic oversight responsibilities.
- Experience with WSIB reporting and incident investigation preferred.
