We are searching for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team to help process, track, and record invoices and payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and in good standing with our valued vendors/customers.

**Roles and responsibilities include**:

- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records within Quickbooks;
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures;
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted;
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements;
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers;
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables;
- Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment;
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner;
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
- Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization;
**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Dipolma in Business / Administration considered an asset.
- 1-2 years experience showing strong software skills with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office ( Excel, Outlook)
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Will have the ability to work both collaboratively with a team and with autonomy
- Meticulous attention to detail.

This position is currently being offered on a part-time basis, however, we are a rapidly expanding organization and expect this position to grow to full time by the winter.

We currently require an individual willing to dedicate approximately 3 days a week to our team in office.
