**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
The Human Resources Administrator reports to the Human Resources Manager.
The incumbent supports Human Resources Processes and Corporate initiatives for AFH Manufacturing Division.
**_ Recruiting & Onboarding:_**
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for collecting and entering all pertinent information for new hires in the HRIS. Employees’ personal information must be entered and maintained on a regular basis i.e. hires, promotion, transfers and terminations.
**_ Personnel files and record keeping:_**
The incumbent is responsible for input, access, and update information for hourly and salaried profiles in the Human Resources systems.
Maintain accurate vacation records for hourly employees using excel spreadsheet. Ensure employees vacation is scheduled accordingly.
The Human Resources Administrator performs projects such as monthly reports and Headcount reports, prepare statement of employment for employees. The Human Resources Administrator responds to enquiries to the Human Resources Department from outside organizations for information such as credit references, reference checks.
**_ Employee relations:_**
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for assisting with employee social functions.
**_ Other:_**
The incumbent is required to act as an information resource to all personnel on established policies.
Additional ad hoc administrative, HR communications and clerical tasks for the organization; projects as requested.
Prepare weekly toolbox safety talks (provide the topic, check attendance list and file) and present when necessary.
Conduct weekly First Aid Room Inspection using checklist to ensure adequate supplies/inventory is available.
In the absence of other members of the Human Resources Department or the Health & Safety Coordinator, the Human Resources Administrator assumes some of the workload of those absent.
Due to the nature of the Human Resources function, a wide variety of miscellaneous duties are required. Frequently, on a non-scheduled basis, the Human Resources Administrator must operate flexibly to accommodate these demands.
