Requirements and Qualifications (a combination of education and experience will be considered) - Relevant post-secondary degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field. **Experience**: - Minimum two years of senior management experience or 4 years of supervisory experience managing teams. (required) - Solid background and experience (minimum of two years) working in homelessness, addictions and/or mental health. - Strong working knowledge of homelessness in Red Deer and the services available to our vulnerable population. - Strong working knowledge of our Aboriginal Community including traditions, services and programs - Strong working knowledge of SPDAT, ETO and Microsoft Programs **Key Responsibilities**: - Lead, Coordinate and mentor Outreach, Social Diversion, and Coordinated Access staff teams. - Coordinate consultations with relevant agencies to develop, modify client housing plans and intervention strategies. - Liaise with municipal representatives, Reaching Home Community Entity (CBO), RCMP and other stakeholders relevant to the delivery of Housing services. - Participate in Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool (SPDAT) management. - Act as the primary housing advocate for Safe Harbour and the population served. - Ensure staff operate within the scope of their positions and consistent with Safe Harbour policies. - Identify areas of improvement and innovation to continually enhance services. - Maintain program statistics and data to support internal and external reporting requirements. - Ensure compliance to contract reporting obligations, licensing standards, health practices, accounting principles, Accreditation, regulatory bodies and Safe Harbour policy. - Attend and participate in weekly management meetings. **Skills and Attributes**: - Functional expertise of mental health, addiction and homelessness. - Supporter of harm reduction strategies. - Superior interpersonal skill. - Adept at building and sustaining strong community partnerships - Strategic thought partner. **Core Competencies**: - Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills. - Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment. - Professional demeanor with an ability to work with staff at all levels. - Conflict resolution skills and ability to manage staff performance and crisis situations. - High standards of professional integrity and proficiency. - Strong self-care skills and Life-Work balance. - **"Safe Harbour Society’s mission is to provide spaces of welcome and connection to our guests, our organization and our community"**_ **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Wellness program Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2024-10-25
