What We’re Looking For

This role involves food prep, working the line, handling seafood, operating fryers, and supporting back-of-house operations. For the right person, this position offers **structured training and growth into sushi preparation and chef responsibilities.**

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, cut fish, and assist in sushi assembly according to restaurant standards
- Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., fryer, rice cooker, knives) safely and efficiently
- Support sushi chefs with prep, plating, and service execution
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and dishwashing areas
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Communicate and collaborate with the BOH team to ensure smooth service
- Assist with general cleaning and closing duties as needed

**Requirements**:

- **Fluent English REQUIRED** (spoken and written)
- **Minimum 2 years kitchen experience required**:

- Prior experience with Japanese cuisine, seafood prep, or sushi is a **strong asset**:

- Strong knife skills or interest in developing them
- Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Reliable, professional, and able to work well under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
