Job Overview
We are seeking passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team, on-site training will be provide as needed. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sushi preparation and presentation, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and visually appealing sushi dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistic flair.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards for quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Engage with customers when appropriate to provide recommendations and enhance their dining experience.
- Stay updated on current food trends and techniques within the sushi culinary field.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
- Familiarity with various types of fish, seafood, and other ingredients used in sushi making.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, showcasing your ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
