**SUMMARY**

The Controller is part of the site’s senior management team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Controller oversees and maintains all financial related matters including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and the General Ledger including trial balances; responsible for tax remittances including payroll, withholding and income taxes; maintains payroll for all personnel; completes all monthly financial packages, annual budgets and forecasts, liaison with external auditors for year end and tax purposes; provides financial support for all plant matters. Represents finance within the plant to ensure all corporate requirements are met.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- As part of the Management Team contributes to operational meetings, building a positive company culture and committed to the achievement of plant and company goals and objectives
- Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions-general ledger maintenance/AR and AP
- Prepare monthly internal financial statements and standard reporting package for HQ
- Prepare and coordinate activities of external auditor for quarterly reviews and annual audit process
- Prepare quarterly and annual external (IFRS) financial statements
- Lead, manage and prepare the annual budget in conjunction with site management and HQ
- Prepare operational/financial presentations quarterly to share with HQ
- Provide forecasts, accounting and financial support, ad hoc reporting to the site operations and HQ
- Manage standard costing platforms and assess program profitability
- Monthly inventory costing analysis
- Maintain and reconcile new program launch spending against budget parameters
- Manage Capital Expenditure budget and maintain FA database
- Manage cash flow resources and prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to share with HQ
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting operations, internal control systems and plant profitability
- Strong focus on monitoring and measuring KPI metrics and variance to budget analysis
- Manage and oversee regulatory reporting
- Mentoring, coaching and training accounting staff fostering an environment based on teamwork
- Oversee payroll function and act as back up for payroll processing
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for local service providers
- Liason for all financial institutions and management of agreements/covenant compliance
- Annual review of documentation including directors schedules, loan agreements, etc. to ensure good governance
- Adhere to ISOX guidelines and manage audit process as required by HQ
- Provide support with collection initiatives
- Manage insurance policies and annual renewalsTravel when required. Must hold a valid Canadian passport and be able to travel outside of Canada.

**Education, Qualifications and Experience**
- Accounting/business degree or college diploma
- Recognized accounting designation (CPA)
- 3 - 5 years in a previous controller role
- Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in automotive industry
- Payroll knowledge
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards an asset
