**What do Field Managers do?**
**You will use your strong communication, people and time management skills to observe, monitor, and manage screening operations.** **You will effectively deploy and monitor Screening Officers by**:
- supporting the day-to-day management of personnel deployment in the field, including facilitating shuttles between primary terminal buildings and external NPS-V checkpoints
- compiling reports for the screening area for distribution to various stakeholders
- identifying instances of underutilization and working with Operations Managers and Training & Development Department to organize training activities
- planning for and monitoring peak operating time issues and congestion concerns protecting restricted areas
- create and manage break schedules for Screening and hourly Non-Screening personnel
- address issues or conflicts related to breaks, such as staffing shortages during peak periods, overlapping breaks, emergencies that require break adjustments
- maintain accurate records in TAS and ERP systems
- performing audits related to documentation, OH&S and equipment
- deploying uniforms, equipment and any other related materials to different checkpoints throughout the airport
- ensuring there are sufficient Screening Officers to increase throughput and decrease downtime
- closely monitor sick calls from Screening Officers, ensuring that the headcount does not fall below a certain threshold
- providing timely updates to SDMs and Operations Managers regarding the status of anticipated passenger volumes
- Actively performance manage screening officers and SDM'S
- other duties as required
**What you bring to PASS**:
- Diploma or Degree in a related field is a strong asset
- Two or more years of related experience, ideally in Aviation or a federally regulated and unionized environment
- You are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent resident of Canada
- You are able to obtain a Transport Security Clearance and Federal Secret Clearance with unpardoned criminal record
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and ability to obtain Airside Vehicle Operators Permit ( AVOP)
- You have fluency in English, verbal and written (French as an asset)
- You have demonstrated exceptional communication, people and time management abilities, preferably in a high-volume, quickly changing environment
- You are available to work any shift as required by the airport operation. This will include, early morning, day, late evening, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
