**Position Summary**:
This new position has been created to support the management of 400 ARMA collection sites, and over 30 ARMA registered partners in the Used Oil, Paint, Tire and Electronics Recycling Programs. The success of ARMA depends on the success of our registered partners.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Field Services Leadership & Program Management**
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the field services team with the appropriate systems and procedures in place for leading the field services program. Supervised the Field Services team, including job-specific training (ensuring knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental management systems remains current), professional development, performance management, and recruitment.
- Uphold OHS requirements as a priority, ensuring required training, policies, and equipment (i.e., PPE, vehicles) are available to all field staff in order to perform their duties safely.
- Review reports prepared by Field Services Inspectors for processor, collection site, grant project, and other inspections across all programs. Discuss and recommend appropriate follow-up actions to the DOO, when required, to ensure compliance with program requirements and funding terms and conditions.
- Communicate regularly with other internal teams as required to ensure all non-compliance collection site and processor issues are managed appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking and follow-up to ensure all issues of non-compliance and required corrective actions (e.g. improper signage or containment) are appropriately documented and resolved in a timely manner.
- Establish, maintain, or adjust, as required, effective field inspection reporting tools, systems and procedures related to the Programs.
- Effectively steward the field services budget and ensure effective utilization of available resources.
- Ensure field inspectors maintain a focus on high-quality standards for documentation and inspection reports and recommend improvements where needed.
- Establish/maintain ongoing communications and reporting to ARMA Senior Management regarding the data and information collected by the field services staff.
- As required, assist the DOO, with external consultants and registered processors on special projects or reviews requiring access to processor facilities (e.g. environmental, health and safety audits). As needed, follow up on any deficiencies or issues coming out of reviews conducted by external parties.
- Support other divisions to carry out compliance audits and in-field support, including but not limited to liaison visits of potential registrants.
**Program Analysis & Reporting**
- Optimize the operations of the field services team and effective use of the field services data and information collected through timely program analysis and reporting to ARMA operations leadership.
- Through a results-driven lens, optimize the field services program through regular review of inspection procedures for identifying, documenting, tracking, and following up on issues of non-compliance, ensuring efficient use of field services resources.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a risk-based management framework and compliance process for field services.
- Develop risk management strategies and processes to complement the risk-based framework and investigation process to ensure compliance.
- Set targets and track progress towards achieving field services and organizational goals and/or strategic priorities.
**Building and Maintaining Relationships**
- Represent ARMA to key program stakeholders within municipalities and the recycling industry.
