**What’s the job?**

We are looking for a superstar **Assistant Controller** to join our growing team. You will work closely with our Head of Finance and People and Culture team to control the workflow of payroll, accounts payables, and financial reporting. Reporting into our Head of Finance, we want to open up this next chapter of your career by giving you opportunities to be a highly visible Finance and Payroll lead at Outgive’s HQ.
- Calculate wage increments, overtime, payment, and public holiday for Canadian employees
- Process wage payments for international employees (Philippines, China, USA)
- Oversee payment of invoices from vendors, Independent Contractors, and other international freelancers
- Advise management on tax and employment laws related to salary, vacation, and pay
- Oversee the management and processing of employee reimbursements
- Analyze and report payroll data
- Develop and refine payroll procedures to create more efficient processing
- Oversee and manage the accounts payable process
- Perform first-level review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all brands to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all financial reporting is in compliance with ASPE
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting & forecasting process
- Perform financial analysis of relevant KPIs that are directly correlated with the financial reporting of all brands
- Support with financial grant writing or funding proposals
