**General Description**

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented assistant controller to work under the direction of our controller. The assistant controller will assist in the management of the finance team members which are located across multiple locations. You must be able to work independently and with the highest levels of integrity.

**Job Duties / Responsibilities**
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements and reports
- Assist with the development and evaluation of budgets and prepare budget report
- Support the formulation and implementation of process and control systems within the organization
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Identify discrepancies and reconcile accounts
- Support the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger
- Ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Prepare and manage accounts using various software programs
- Prepare and assist with audit support
- Follow changes in regulations and compile reports regarding compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices

**Requirements and Skills**
- Previous experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or in a similar role
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent math and accounting skills
- Strong supervisory and management skills
- Bilingual in English/French an asset

**Educational/Certification Requirements**
- Professional certification as a current CPA
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
