Role Description
We are hiring an Assistant Controller for a full-time, on-site position located in Mississauga, ON. The Assistant Controller will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare financial statements, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and manage month-end and year-end closings. Additional responsibilities include assisting in budgeting, financial planning, and audit preparation, as well as monitoring internal controls and improving accounting processes. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and streamlined workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, along with advanced Excel skills
- Experience in compliance, audit preparation, and managing internal controls
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation is an asset)
- Previous experience in an Assistant Controller or similar accounting role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team
