Corporate Banking Account Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for developing Corporate Banking accounts in BC market.
- Collaborate and coordinate with a core group of teammate to create a client contact strategy tailored to each client’s need; and to ensure the credit and non-credit products/service delivery.
- Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through the review of financial statements identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructure.
- Use strong knowledge of the Bank’s global products and services to ensure the banking needs of each relationship are well understood and documented.
- Ensuring the timely analysis, structure and presentation of credit/financial solution proposals within prescribed segment.
- Restructuring marginal proposals into bankable deals where possible.
- Liaising with other functional team and management to promote the development and growth of the Corporate Banking portfolio in BC market to maximize business development opportunities for sustainable growth.
- Liaising with management for compliance monitoring and reporting actions as required.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of corporate banking experience with Capital Market clients or Mid-Market clients.
- Deep and proven client-centricity, business development and relationship management excellence.
- New client acquisition skill and communication skills are essential to this position. Excellent networking skills and interpersonal skills, sales/closing skills, negotiation, relationship building and teamwork skills are requirements for the role.
- Unquestioned professionalism, ethics and reputation and proven ability to exercise strong independent judgment when making business decisions and/or representing the Bank.
- Well-developed credit skill is a must (i.e., able to assessing of risk and financial analysis, credit structuring/solution and presenting the deal).
- Broad knowledge of Bank’s corporate lending and deposit products and services, and customer profitability model to provide integrated financial solutions.
- Specialized industry expertise in a past role (e,g. Forestry, Mining, Green/sustainable financing).
- Strong PC skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other commercial systems and platforms.
- Very strong sense of team work and accountability.
- An undergraduate degree or graduate degree in finance, accounting or economics, alongside professional work experience in National Accounts lending or Corporate Banking lending is a requirement.
