**The Position**

As a key member of the Finance Department, you will have the opportunity to take on a broad range of responsibilities from reporting to internal controls to maintaining the financials. You with the ability to work closely and collaborate with Retail, Marketing and Product divisions. This experience will help you become a well rounded and versatile Accountant. **Responsibilities**
- Support the CFO in reporting and analysis
- Execute the period-end process including the preparation of month-end accruals
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filing (Corporate, GST, PST, WCB, EHT etc)
- Maintain and track upcoming tasks in the annual Finance calendar
- Support with Inventory control, processes including the fiscal inventory counts, cycle counts and inventory investigation
- Conduct payroll administration for office, warehouse and retail staff
- Prepare P&L reports and budget vs actual variance reports
- Ensure strong adherence to internal controls across the organization
- Participate in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for greater effectiveness in internal controls, efficiency and reporting

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team
- Technology savvy individual with the ability to learn new technology quickly
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, versatile and adaptable to changing processes and technology

**Qualifications**
- CPA PEP student or CPA with at least 2 years work experience
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in accounting
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel skills
- Experience with NetSuite and Ceridian or comparable ERP/payroll software
- ERP experience
