**Position Overview**

The People and Culture Generalist will play a key role in supporting our People and Culture team and ensuring smooth HR functions across our expanding retail operations. This role provides essential support in administration, recruitment, training, health & safety, and building an engaged culture. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this position will be pivotal in helping our company maintain compliance, employee satisfaction, and efficient processes.

**Location**:Hybrid; minimum 2-3 days in office.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Manages HR administrative tasks, employee documentation, and HR system updates.
- Assists with payroll and employee changes, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
- Coordinates onboarding for new hires and maintains training records in learning management systems.
- Supports recruitment for head office and store roles, including job postings, interview scheduling, and initial screenings.
- Maintains health and safety records, monitors compliance, and supports safety protocols with store managers.
- Analyzes employee survey data to improve engagement; builds connections with store teams.
- Organizes head office and store events to boost morale.
- Oversees employee recognition programs.
- Manages and updates employee records in compliance with privacy standards.
- Assists with HR policy development, communication, and enforcement.
- Coordinates performance review cycles and supports performance tracking.
- Responds to employee inquiries on benefits, policies, and HR issues.
- Supports employee relations, guiding conflict resolution and promoting a respectful environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HR, ideally within retail or a fast-paced environment.
- CPHR Designation preferred.
- Familiarity with HR software and systems such as Kayapush and Spiffy is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across levels and locations.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, dedicated to fostering a positive work environment.
- Ability to travel regularly for site visits, meetings, and industry events.
