**Job Description**:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Operator with a 5th Class Power Engineering Certification to join our residential property team. As a Facilities Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities, with a specific focus on power systems. You will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring various power generation and distribution equipment. Your expertise in power engineering will be essential in creating a safe and reliable power supply for our facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical skills and a passion for maintaining and improving facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate, monitor, and maintain power generation and distribution equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated systems.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on power equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze power consumption, equipment readings, and performance indicators to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Respond promptly to power-related emergencies, troubleshooting problems, and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized power system repairs, maintenance, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and adherence to power engineering standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of power equipment operations, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure power requirements are met and support facility needs.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and act as a point of contact during power-related emergencies.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
- Valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certification.
- Proven experience as a Facilities Operator or similar role, with a focus on power systems.
- In-depth knowledge of power generation and distribution equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated systems.
- Familiarity with power system control and automation software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to power systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to power systems and facility operations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor when necessary.
