**Job Overview**
The _Maintenance Attendant_ _(MA)_ repairs and maintains their designated centre or centres. He/She reports directly to the _Maintenance Manager_, providing reports on all required maintenance and repairs (performed or required) to building(s), equipment and exterior property.

**Responsibilities**

**Building Maintenance**:

- Performs daily building checks;
- Reports all required repairs & parts needed ;
- Confers with both the _Maintenance Manager_ and _Facility Supervisor_ as to maintenance schedules and substantial repairs;
- Maintains and repairs all equipment, electrical and mechanical systems and machinery;
- Ensures all washrooms & showers are operational;
- Carries out all necessary maintenance/repairs as requested or scheduled;
- Performs turf installation & removal, and supervision of turf staff when necessary;
- Assists with safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs;
- Identifies and oversees necessary repairs;
- Evaluates monthly, all maintenance issues;
- When necessary, assists at other facilities as directed by the _Maintenance Manager _from time to time;
- Reports all needs for repair and requests for repair to the _Maintenance Manager_.

**General Duties**:

- Assists with deliveries;
- Performs snow removal on all sidewalks as often as required to ensure safety;
- De-ices all sidewalks as often as required to ensure safety;
- Mows lawn areas, performs weed control and general lawn care on exterior property;
- Assists with set-up and take-down for special events;
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- General knowledge in basic recreational facility maintenance is a definite asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00 per hour
