**DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY**
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated record of research productivity with the ability to build and maintain an externally funded research program. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in psychology or be near completion by the start date of the appointment.
The University of Winnipeg is an urban campus on Treaty One land in the heart of the Métis homeland. We are a liberal arts and sciences institution with a diverse student body and a focus on undergraduate education. The psychology department has 17 faculty members with varied research interests and offers three-year, four-year, and honours undergraduate degrees. The successful applicant will: (a) teach Social Psychology and related courses. The ability to teach upper-level undergraduate statistics [e.g., Factorial ANOVA and Multiple Regression] and to integrate multiple statistical software packages [including SPSS and R] into instruction is also an asset; (b) maintain an active research program that incorporates undergraduates (recent tenure-track hires have obtained tri-council funding within the first two years of appointment); and, (c) share in the administrative responsibilities of the department and university.
As per our Collective Agreement, the successful applicant will receive a reduced teaching load in the first year and will be eligible for another in their second year. Additionally, faculty members who receive tri-council funding normally receive a yearly teaching reduction commensurate with their grant role.
