**The Opportunity**:
As a part of our Maintenance Department, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor
- Trailer to join our team. The **Maintenance Supervisor
- Trailer** is responsible for reviewing and analyzing all Challenger trailers that require annual inspections, repairs and service. The Maintenance Supervisor
- Trailer is also responsible for organizing execution of the required work and communicating with business unit leaders on accurate repair timelines to ensure their needs and business results are being met, as well as appropriate performance management activities for their team.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Identify, troubleshoot and communicate any trailer fleet maintenance issues through appropriate internal channels for resolution
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings with direct reports and provide regular communication on shop priorities, expectations, health and safety requirements, etc.
- Prioritize and delegate workload instructions and scheduled repairs to technicians to ensure quality and productivity standards are met
- Manage equipment data entry and updates to various computer systems using multiple software platforms
- Schedule service inspections as required following the maintenance schedule
- Mentor, coach, and train technicians with trade related knowledge to develop their technical skills and competencies to ensure they follow proper processes and procedures
- Lead individual meetings with direct reports to discuss progress on their personal development, SMART goal targets and appropriate performance management activities such as disciplinary meetings as required
- Audit work orders from technicians for accuracy and once completed, approve and close work orders
- Develop and plan priority sequence for daily trailer equipment compliance requirements
- Maintain vendor relationships to ensure quotes, pricing and turnaround meets company expectations
- Handle timely and professional communications with internal customers, dealerships, vendors, suppliers etc.
- Understand, collaborate and strive for a solution-driven resolution with internal and external customers
- Effectively communicate with drivers and owner operators to understand repairs required
- Promote and lead the 5S program with department organization and cleanliness
- Administration of appropriate maintenance reports (PM, DOT, service bulletin)
- Assist and provide feedback to other maintenance departments such as Parts, Warranty and Breakdown and troubleshoot any maintenance concerns
- Continually review work process and provide suggestions for process improvements
- Attend monthly Maintenance Supervisor’s meetings (may not be within shift hours)
- Performs other duties as required

**What You Need To Be Successful In This Role**:

- Licensed Mechanic with a 310T or 310J Red Seal Certification
- 2-5 years of prior work experience as a Licensed Technician
- Some supervisory, managerial or leadership experience required
- Valid driver’s license required
- AZ license and heavy equipment operator is an asset
- Business knowledge of North American transportation and fleet maintenance
- Ability to lead, mentor and coach employees to utilize their strengths and further develop themselves personally and professionally
- Strong attention to detail with a mechanical aptitude
- Microsoft Office, computer and telephone skills
- Creative and effective problem-solving ability
- Detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Proactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issues
- Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
