**Position**:Purposeful is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator

**Employment Type**: Permanent, Full-Time

**Salary**: $55,000/year dependent on experience

As a **Human Resources Coordinator**, you will administer payroll and benefits, and provide critical support in onboarding/offboarding, employee relations and human resources administration to all of our business units, supporting seasonal, part time and full time employees. You will work closely with our growing Human Resources team to align HR strategies with company goals, assist in creating policies and programs, and assist with change management initiatives. Your efforts will ensure our employees feel valued, supported, and equipped to thrive in our people-first culture.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Payroll Administration**
- Illustrate a pro-active, people first mindset in all payroll related tasks.
- Perform full-cycle bi-weekly payroll processing for all salaried, hourly and seasonal employees, ensuring accurate reconciliations, remittances, and on-time submissions (approximately 300 employees including seasonal).
- Provide payroll-related assistance to managers and employees, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues.

**Benefits Administration**
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans (future), and other perks.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment for new hires, open enrollment periods, and life event changes.
- Respond to employee benefits-related inquiries and ensure timely resolution of any issues.

**Onboarding/Offboarding**
- Facilitate a company wide on-boarding program/process including completing employment agreements, track new hire start dates, collect required documentation (tax forms, benefit enrollment forms), and ensure new employees are set up in payroll and benefits systems.
- Work closely with the Director of Human Resources, to ensure new employees are equipped with the necessary resources, training, and support to integrate into their roles effectively.
- Facilitate the offboarding process, ensuring departing employees are supported and that all company assets are returned (primarily seasonal employees).
- Prepare and submit Records of Employment (ROE) in a timely manner, adhering to Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements.

**HR Data Management**
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee records, including personal details, compensation, and employment history.
- Track employee vacations, and leave balances.
- Verify and coordinate employment-related transactions such as new hires, status changes, benefits enrollment, and payroll processing.

**HR Support and Initiatives**
- Respond to employee inquiries on a wide range of topics, including payroll, benefits, and general HR policies.
- Provide support for various HR initiatives, including the planning, logistics, and execution of department projects and programs.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and programs to strengthen employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Participate in change management efforts when acquiring new business units to ensure smooth transitions.
- Assist in planning and coordinating employee events, such as team-building activities, holiday celebrations, and recognition programs, to foster a positive and inclusive work culture.

**Experience**:

- 2-5 years in human resources coordination, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Experience in change management is considered a plus.

**Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

**Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills with a capacity for high concentration is a must.
- Knowledge of employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with ROE preparation and understanding of ESA compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks and Payworks.
