**Details**:Full Time, Days, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

**Pay Scale**:Commensurate with education and experience

**Location**: Central Services, 14220 - 109 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB

T5N 4B3, and various locations throughout Edmonton _(travel between other GEF sites is required, mileage paid)_

**Typical Duties**:
The Housing Placement Coordinator works to transition housing applicants into an appropriate GEF Seniors housing program and will be accountable for the organization’s management of its housing units in a respectful and transparent manner. The position will be responsible to conduct intake and transfer interviews, manage waitlists, coordinate move-in procedures, maintain documentation, prepare housing reports, complete applicant reference checks while exercising considerable respect, transparency, compassion, sensitivity, initiative, independent judgement and attention to detail with applicants and their choices, GEF communities and partner agencies.

**Experience/Education Requirements**:

- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Post-Secondary degree preferably in Social Work, Human Services, Human Ecology, Gerontology or other closely related fields would be an asset
- Minimum three years of experience working with vulnerable population
- Experience working with Seniors is an asset
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

**Attributes**:

- Strong customer service skills including the ability to interact and build relations with everyone in a respectful manner
- Strong assessment interviewing skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a flexible and collaborative approach
- Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license and be a able to submit a copy of drivers license upon request

**The successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal records check**

**and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.**
