As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly skilled **Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator** to support our leadership team and play an important role in strengthening the financial foundation of our business.
Reporting directly to the Owners, you will be a key member of our corporate team. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate reporting of our financial records, effectively manage our payroll software and process, and provide important business specific reports and insights. **Key Responsibilities**
**Financial Record Keeping**
- **Lead** the maintenance of precise and up-to-date financial records using best-in-class bookkeeping practices.
- **Own** monthly credit card and bank reconciliations, ensuring complete financial accuracy and compliance.
- **Own** the preparation and timely submission of monthly financial reports by the 10th of each month.
- **Present** monthly financial highlights to leadership, showcasing key trends and actionable recommendations that inform business decisions.
- **Utilize** accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero for data entry and financial reporting.
- **Assist** in budgeting processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
**Compliance & Financial Controls**
- **Assist** in managing relationships with external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring timely audits and compliance with relevant regulations.
- **Stay ahead** of industry trends and financial regulations, incorporating best practices and ensuring ongoing compliance across the business.
- **Maintain** organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
**Payroll Management**
- **Process** payroll and maintain payroll information as required.
- **Update** employee data and review for all time and attendance and personnel transactions such as new hire, salary changes, benefit deductions terminations, etc.
- **Administer** enrolments for group benefits
- **Remain** current with new and revised payroll regulations and Alberta Employment Standards
**Business Reporting**
- **Maintain** weekly and monthly internal Business Reports.
- **Audit** supplier costs and research alternative items.
- **Deliver** ad hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner**.**
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role, ideally within a growing, dynamic business.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, financial planning, and reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Comfortable using financial software (Quickbooks Online) and spreadsheets (Sheets and Excel).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for continuous improvement, both in personal professional development and in contributing to the success of the team and company.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
