**Overview**

Reporting to the Manager, Training & Programs, this position is responsible for performing QA/QC desktop audits on Water & Gas, processing record changes to be incorporated into GIS, Cityworks, etc., liaising with other divisions (IT, GIS, etc.) and providing engineering assistance to Utilities staff, consultants, and the general public. The role also completes drafting for water and gas infrastructure.

Please note there will be an AutoCAD assessment prior to the interview.

**Responsibilities**
- Performs Quality Assurance / Quality Control checks on Water and Gas infrastructure.
- Performs record management duties.
- Assist in developing digital submission processes and operational programs.
- Responds to public and internal gas and water information requests.
- Creates and revises drafts required by the department including the production of gas and water construction drawings using computer aided drafting techniques.
- Incorporates GPS infrastructure asset information into the City’s GIS database.
- Assists with maintenance programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2-year diploma or 2 years in a specialized post-secondary program.
- Minimum of 1-year related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with computer aided drafting systems (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Demonstrated experience with drafting, data collection, and analysis activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the fundamental engineering concepts related to design and construction processes and procedures.
- Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization.
- Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings.
- Proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite products, Access, On-Point, GIS and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of O.Reg 170/03, CSA Z662 Code, relevant procedures, practices, standards, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Experience with CityWorks or other Asset Management software.
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
