**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- (These set out the principal functions of the position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements)._
- Provide administration support to the Human Resources team in the following areas: recruitment and selection, training, orientation and career development, customer service, benefits administration, and health and safety.
- Assist with the maintenance of the human resources information system (e.g. data entry and processing forms, maintain records/filing system in accordance with the retention by-law, ensure employee profiles are accurate, etc.).
- Assist other Human Resources staff in compiling relative metrics, various work activities, projects, etc.
- Assist the Human Resources team in other key human resources functions as required and perform all other duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled or successfully completed a post-secondary co-op program in Human Resources or a related field.
- Knowledge of all relevant Acts, legislation and applicable regulations (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, WSIB, etc.).
- Motivated individual with proven initiative.
- Professional, proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to multi-task within a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software programs, website maintenance and the ability to adapt quickly to applicable software.
- Ability to work in a team environment, liaison with key external and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization and to function effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work under conditions of strict confidentiality is essential.
- Proven completion of Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness training.
- Demonstrated commitment to enhancing a safety culture.

**Hourly Rate**: $19.50

**Expected Work Location**:360 Niagara Street, St. Catharines

**Hours of Work**:Currently Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 4:30PM
