The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPR) offers a world-class education for approximately 34,000 students in 87 schools. The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board is hiring Summer Students, and we are looking for innovative and passionate individuals interested in a four-month position from May to August. Our Summer Student Program introduces students to the education sector through challenging experiences, while providing meaningful opportunities to support effective learning. Our Summer Student Program will allow you to contribute to ensuring our schools and buildings are safe, healthy, and welcoming for all. The program also provides opportunity for experience in the project management of the Boards new school construction, renovations, and repairs.

**Education & Experience**:
Full-time student in Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology or related field of study; (proof of student status will be required)

Relevant experience with Architectural, Engineering, Construction design or project management, maintenance or related;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong reasoning, numerical and technical skills;
Comfortable working in team environment and self-motivated to work independently;
This position requires that the successful applicant have an Ontario Class G2 license, and have access to their own vehicle.

**Specialized Skills Required**:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategy development, vision setting and implementation, system coordination and implementation;
A strong knowledge of research-based practices and an ability to effectively gather and utilize data in alignment with research ethical standards;
Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team;
Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for the purposes of building capacity with mental health professionals, educators, adults, youth, and families;
Valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.

**Working Conditions**:
**General office environment**: Work locations are generally Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board Education Office (1994 Fisher Drive, Peterborough) but travel may be required throughout the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.
