Together, we can build a better world. **Job Description**: - Monitor and co-ordinate activities with the client, subcontractors & other consultants. - Prepare change & tender documents - Assist the project team with the initial mobilization and setup of the construction site. - Equipment tracking, monitor performance, provide feedback to the Project Manager. - Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems. - Manage all project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase-order coding and safety reporting. - Ensure compliance with Chandos health and safety training and reporting requirements. - Perform periodic field inspections of projects both prior to and during construction to determine compliance with approved plans and regulations at the request of inspectors. - Co-ordinate the permit process as assigned - Read, interpret and understand construction drawings and specifications, AHJ codes and ordinances regarding building codes, permit issuance and permit fees. - Track and review project proposals of change and change orders. - Perform other duties that may be assigned as necessary. **"Chandos doesn't treat you as a student, but as a future full-time employee and they create opportunities [for you] to learn," says former co-op student, Patrick Robitaille.** Read more about his experience **here**.** **Qualifications**: - ** Co-op Student - Civil/Construction discipline is preferred**: - ** Travel to site and off-site locations is required.**: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail - Ability to prioritize and multi-task - Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Additional Information Chandos is an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture and this includes our recruitment and hiring process.
