**Job description**

El Camino is looking for a head chef to take over and run our from scratch, creative, and talented kitchen. You will be tasked with leading a line and managing of creatives hard working talented cooks, taking care of orders, and over seeing general day to day operations. El Camino is an incredibly creative environment which allows for growth and experimentation. You will work with local producers and purveyors, quality suppliers, and friendly reps. Being the head chef at El Camino presents you with the opportunity to lead an incredible team of individuals, make awesome food, and exist in a creative and supportive work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day-to-day culinary operations
- Coordinate food and kitchenware orders
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Assist in the development of menu items
- Standardize recipes and plate presentations
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
- Knowledge of cost and labor systems
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 2 years (preferred)
- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Sous Chef: 1 year (preferred)

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
