**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**:

- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
- Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales and Operations to forecast demand for products and ensure timely purchasing to prevent shortages or excessive inventory.
- Utilize in-house purchasing software and tools to manage purchase orders, sales orders and supplier transactions.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to hazardous materials and chemical handling.
- Working closely with inventory and warehouse teams to remain up to date on stock levels
- Maintaining and updating critical documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA) for internal records and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Accounting department to process purchase orders, sales orders and closing reports.

**QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO US**:

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in purchasing, supply chain, planning or procurement roles.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt to changing business needs.
- Extremely detail oriented and thorough with outstanding organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel) and experience with purchasing or ERP software.
- Solid understanding of Incoterms and North American geography for logistics and transportation planning.
