**The Opportunity**:
The Finance Clerk 3 assists in directing and administering the financial requirements of day-to-day operations,
including analyzing and reviewing financial information for preparation of financial reports
**What you will do**:
- Supervise assigned personnel
- Accounts balancing with completion of necessary audits and reports
- Assist in the assurance of proper adherence to financial policy and internal control
- Analyze and review financial information, including information of a confidential nature.
- Preparation of financial reports for review by Finance Manager
- Resolve issues and concerns with contract agencies, departments and individuals in regard to
transactional items, verification, documentation and clarification of related corporate financial policies.
- Provide technical assistance for use of financial systems as required.
- Work safely and in compliance with relevant statutes and regulations and within the safe work procedures
and directives as established by the District.
**What you will need**:
- Three years of post-secondary education in accounting/business and/or working toward an accounting
designation with three years progressive related experience preferably with supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate and facilitate management’s financial requirements and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and courteously with members of the public and staff, in
person, by telephone or electronically.
- Demonstrated technological proficiency, with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail, with good
oral and written communication skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license.
