**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator plays a key role in creating a positive employee experience at the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute. This role will work closely with the HR Manager on all HR initiatives for maintaining effective organizational functions. The HR Coordinator is responsible for general HR coordination and employee-related activities including recruitment, onboarding, retention, benefits administration, and health and safety compliance.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

**Recruitment**
- Work with the HR Manager and hiring managers to draft job descriptions and create job postings;
- Post jobs on BambooHR and external websites, as required;
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication team to promote job posts across Praxis social media channels and website;
- Coordinate all recruitment activity, monitor Praxis HR inbox and respond to applicant queries;
- Participate and facilitate interviews as required; and

**Onboarding & Offboarding**
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding packages for new employees;
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes including communicating with incumbents, liaising with hiring managers and conducting orientation sessions;
- Coordinate payroll information and liaise with the finance team and HR Manager, as required;
- Conduct check-ins with new employees during the first three and six months of the onboarding process;
- Collect, record and file all appropriate onboarding and offboarding forms; and
- Coordinate criminal record checks, as required.

**HR Coordination**
- Administer Praxis’ HRIS (BambooHR), including inputting new employees on the platform, terminating exiting employees, coordinating recruitment, running reports, coordinating training files;
- Benefits administration including employee enrolment, changes, terminations, responding to employee queries, and liaising with benefits providers;
- Coordinate employee training and information sessions;
- Coordinate and support HR Manager with monthly All Staff Meetings and other team meetings;
- Prepare reports, documents, and general correspondence, as required;
- Assist the HR Manager with special projects, as required, including organizational and employee development initiatives;
- Act as first point of contact for employee queries on employee benefits, HR initiatives, performance management and policies and procedures; and
- Support the Praxis Social Committee by participating as an active member and facilitating meetings with the support of the HR Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in human resources or related field
- CPHR certification or working towards CPHR certification considered an asset
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar position (HR Coordination, Recruitment, HR Administrator)
- Experience with BambooHR or other HRIS an asset
- Ability to interact effectively and positively with others with a focus on customer service
- Ability to exercise tact, solve problems, and maintain confidentiality
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Proven ability to exercise initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to proofread letters, articles, and reports
- Effective planning, organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment in a fast-paced environment
