**Scope of Position**

The Logistics Department team member will be responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving activities in and out of the warehouse. This role involves operating various types of forklifts, managing the intake and dispatch of materials, and ensuring proper storage and organization of parts, picking, packaging and shipping document revision, and follow up for customs clearance, brokers handling, and logistic carriers handling. Attention to detail is crucial for a full understanding of logistics (document preparation, logistics routes, shipment tracking and monitoring, customs clearance management). The goal is to maintain smooth warehouse & logistics operations by ensuring on time delivery and follow up.

Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

**Key Responsibilities/Specific Duties**:

- Process incoming and outgoing shipments management, creating and ensuring all documentation (e.g., shipping labels, invoices) is correct to process custom clearance and follow up until delivery.
- Efficient tracking of packages and customs follow up on customs clearance operation (Import/export operation (US-CAN), CUSMA, TIBis, Parts classification for tariff codes).
- Manage carriers for booking, tracking and secure an on-time delivery, taking logistics actions to manage the load according to the different scenarios presented to secure the delivery.
- Create KIP’s to trace the whole pipe line of logistics status.
- Quote service with carriers based on knowledge of LTL, low loader dolly, auto hauler and FTL, book the pickup and create all the necessary documents for customs clearance. Create and maintain procedures and operation guidelines.
- Safely operate Raymond reach lift, aisle master, and counterbalance forklifts to load and unload trucks and move items within the warehouse. Following safety procedures for material handling, warehouse eq., and forklift operations
- Organize materials and parts in the warehouse, ensuring proper put-away to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Prepare shipments for other departments and provide quotes, create documents, coordinate the carrier, the broker and trace the shipment until arrival at destination.
- Identify and resolve issues related to damaged or misplaced items, lost items, stack items in the border.
- Receive chassis at Roadtrek facility, with the proper documents and inspection.
- Ensure accurate records of materials received and shipped are maintained.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to maintain a well-organized storage area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, shipping regulations, and customs requirements.
- Work with logistics and production teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth operations.
- Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and other departments to streamline shipping and receiving processes.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**
- GED / Highschool Diploma (with customs experience) or diploma /degree in shipping/logistics preferred
- Must have minimum of 10 years’ experience and knowledge of transportation logistics, customs clearance operation (import/export).
- Must have experience and knowledge leading carriers and brokers and operation controls.
- Lift Truck License.
- Proven experience with inventory control, warehouse, receiving and shipping and FedEx systems
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull product weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work well under pressure while keeping safety a priority at all times
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, strong work ethic and positive team player
- Proactive and well-organized person
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with colleagues and external suppliers.
- Strong knowledge and proven experience with customs clearance operation (Import/export operation (US-CAN), CUSMA, TIBis, Parts classification for tariff codes).
- Knowledge of LTL, low loader dolly, auto hauler and FTL and be able to quote service with carriers, book the pickup and create all the necessary documents for customs clearance (Tax IDs, HST codes, TIBis knowledge is a must), create and maintain procedures and operation guidelines.
- Previous Team Lead experience considered a strong asset.
