Position Summary
Under the general direction of the CEO will be an energetic and guest focused Human Resources professional that will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, staff training programs, delivering all human resources functions, and engaging affiliated charities and organizations that are fundamental to the mandate of Rama Gaming. In this role, the Manager, People will motivate and lead by example creating a positive and inclusive environment for both customers and employees.
Key Accountabilities
- Works collaboratively with the senior leadership team to plan and implement initiatives and Human Resource strategies to help realize the Strategic Plan of the property
- Develops and delivers on-going programs such as talent acquisition, onboarding, training & development, performance & attendance management, and health & safety.
- Consult on employee benefits, compensation, and payroll ranges in coordination with the CFO.
- Design and implement comprehensive regular training programs for staff across various departments, including technical operations, and responsible gambling practices (i.e., AML). *With a focus on customer service to ensure staff deliver excellent customer service, resolve customer issues, and maintain a customer-centric environment.
- Develop and maintain optimal staff scheduling systems to ensure adequate coverage, efficient operations, balanced workload, and labor costs.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing requirements and make informed staffing decisions.
- Delivers resolution strategies to team members and managers, addressing concerns, conflicts, and performance issues.
- Implement employee recognition programs, incentives, and initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Develops & Coordinates Workplace Health and Safety initiatives, as required
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all operational departments; develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Liase and manage Charity programs and relationships including monthly videos and cheque signing parties as well as volunteer reward programs, in coordination with Marketing Manager.
- Work with outreach community consultants to develop relationships through local business associations.
Education and Qualifications
- Minimum (5) five years progressive Canadian experience in Human Resources with post-secondary Human Resource Management education
- Fully versed with all Ontario employment, health and safety and human rights legislation and laws.
- Comprehensive computer skills including all Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality; conflict management/resolution experience required.
- Ability to work independently under mínimal guidance and able to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism in an interrupt-driven environment

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
